I am running for the Appoquinimink School Board because we must raise the bar and prepare every student for success in life, not just on test scores. As a business leader, parent, and longtime community member, I bring real-world experience in solving complex challenges, managing budgets, and building consensus.

I believe in high standards, strong schools, and accountability to parents and taxpayers. We need policies prioritizing academic excellence and supporting all students—regardless of background or learning style.

My top priorities include:

• Academic Excellence and Accountability – Focus on measurable student outcomes, expanding access to high-dosage tutoring and evidence-based reforms.

• Parental Engagement and Transparency – Ensuring families have a voice in curriculum decisions and full access to school performance and budget data.

• Pathways to Success for Every Student – Whether it’s college, a trade, the military, entrepreneurship, or the workforce, our schools must prepare students for life after graduation.

• Responsible Spending and Resource Allocation – Promote equitable funding for high-needs students and transparent, results-driven budgeting.

• Safe and Supportive Learning Environments – Support proven school safety strategies and invest in mental health without overreliance on exclusionary discipline practices.

We must also ensure that Delaware’s outdated funding model is replaced with one that meets the constitutional promise of quality education for every child. We must respect our community's diverse values while focusing on preparing students for the real world.
