Chuck has successfully built and led multiple businesses. His expertise in data-driven decision-making enables him to identify challenges, develop innovative solutions, and implement policies that create lasting positive impacts.
A resident of Parkside in Middletown, DE, Chuck has been part of the Appoquinimink School District since 2000, with the strength of the local school system playing a key role in his decision to move here. As a father to Alexandra, he has seen firsthand the impact of a strong educational foundation. Beyond his commitment as a parent, Chuck has mentored and hired students for his businesses, watching them go on to start families, buy their first homes, and continue successful careers at top consulting firms and the Central Intelligence Agency, among others.
Chuck understands the importance of programs that support students and families in need. As a child, he was a beneficiary of the hot lunch program during elementary school when his father was injured and unable to work for an extended period. This experience shaped his belief in ensuring every student has access to the resources needed to succeed. Through transparent budgeting and resource distribution, he believes deeply in providing access and opportunity to all students—including English-language learners, low-income families, and those with special needs.
Chuck believes the school board must focus on academic achievement and ensure that students are equipped to thrive—whether that means going to college, entering the workforce, joining the military, starting a business, or pursuing a trade. He supports a curriculum that reflects a broad range of perspectives while being transparent and responsive to parent concerns. He is also committed to school safety, advocating for effective, well-trained resource officers while rejecting punitive or discriminatory disciplinary policies.
